“Highly original, unique work” (Eyal Hareuveni, All About Jazz).
Volavérunt is based on nine aquaprints of the Caprichos series by the Spanish painter Francisco de Goya. The nine works that constitute Volavérunt -all of them composed by Tabuenca for a variable quintet ensemble- immerse their listeners into the dreams, fantasies and realities of a world full of cracks where logic loses meaning. The energy that emanates from each sound gives rise to a new universe, sometimes grotesque and sometimes tender and delicate, where each musician plays a role that changes shape in each performance.
